You’re ready to send out your latest web push notification, but you want to see how the notifications looks before you send it out. With Prompty, you can send your notifications to list of “Testers” so that you can see what the notification looks like before sending it out to all our subscribers.
How To Use
The first step in testing web push notifications is to identify persons as “Testers”. Then when you want to send a test message you create the notification and sent it to the “Testers” list.
Add Yourself or Others as Testers
To add yourself of someone else as a tester, subscribe to your Web Push Notifications and then you will see a new subscriber in a list.
Click on that record and you will see a green button that says “Tester”. This will add you to the tester list. Note: You will still be subscribed to the main list as well.
Sending to Testers
Now that you have yourself on the Testers list, you are ready to send out a message to try out. To do this, create a message and then select the “Testers” list. You will receive your notification, and be able to click on it, and see your users’ experience.
Final Thoughts
Prompty’s Testers feature makes it easy to test our Web Push Notification before they go out to the whole list so you can make sure they behave and look the way you expect.
